This update is required if you want to run plugin version checks from within your admin panel, as the old update url is obsolete.

Looking at my source code, it seems like the Google Analytics Code is being generated twice. Is this normal or only a problem with my site.

You might have old plugin files. If i remember right it once had that issue.
TO verify save your analythics code and then uninstall the plugin using the plugins page.
Upload a fresh download and reinsert your code and see if it fixes the issue.

Removal of double code display

This updates fixes an issue where the analytics code is being displayed twice.

Update instructions
- If you upload through the admin plugin manager, that is all you need to do
- If you upload through ftp, please click the install icon afterwards in admin plugin manager.

The install file will remove the file which causes this issues
